I believe all of us want to succeed at what we are doing but what will you do if someone goes out of his way just to block your success?
I got this picture, on the left, from my niece in the US who informed me but she had bought my book and it will be her weekend reading. To me, that was an encouragement; in that, she actually invested in the book. She is, in essence, saying to me “I agree with what you are doing and I want to support you”. Thank you, Folake.
It is always good when the people closest to you buy into what you are doing. It gives you a push to keep going which is very helpful to anyone.
Contract to above to those who are deliberately looking to discourage you. I was at a virtual conference two weekends ago and while everything was going according to plan, four or five people entered the Zoom meeting and began heckling the speaker. They had no interest in the conference; they just wanted to disrupt it. Thank goodness we were able to remove them quickly and they couldn’t come back in. These were enemies of progress.
My question is: If this had happened to you what would you do? Will you stop everything you’re doing to stand guard against the hecklers? Will you stop making progress because somebody said you don’t have what it takes? My advice would be to let your success speak for you; if God is on your side you will succeed.
In anything you do in life, there will always be hecklers; but God will always provide you with helpers. You need to learn to accommodate helpers and ignore the hecklers. I have a chapter on destiny detractors and destiny helpers in my new book “Joshua, Jordan, and Jericho: Reaching Beyond All Obstacles To Your Destiny”. It is available now at Amazon; get a copy today and let me know what you think about it.
To your success.Niyi Adeoshun
